Breaking News: Belgore Loyalists Pulled Down APC Flags at Asa Dam Secretariat

Loyalists of Mr. Mohammed Dele Belgore (SAN) today angrily pulled
down the remaining vestige of the opposition All Progressives
Congress (APC) at the Party’s secretariat located along popular Asa
Dam road, Ilorin, the Kwara state capital.
As at the time of filing this report, the Mr. Belgore’s loyalists had
already pulled down the flags but left out a single Green-White-Green
Nigerian flag flying as a mark of respect for the Nigerian nation.
And after they had successfully brought down the APC flags, they
then pounced on the two billboards standing prominently at the
entrance of the secretariat building and started defacing the
billboards. Infinity Links’s correspondent, who was incidentally at the scene at the
point in time, spotted about 7 men and three women defacing the
billboards.
When Infinity sought to speak with one of the supporters, who was
among the assailants, she angrily declined comment. But after our
correspondent revealed his true identity, he was subsequently obliged.
While commenting, the party supporter, who identified herself as
Muibat Sarumi, stated that her ultimate goal was to ensure that
‘whatever is remaining of the oppressive APC in our life, and the life
of MDB, is finally removed….we want to erase the memory that our
path ever crossed with that of the APC…”she retorted.
The angry vandalisation of the property, sources say, might not be
unconnected with yesterday’s composition of the interim executives of
the party in the state, without the consent of or either a single input
from some of its foundation members like Mr. Belgore, Abdulrahman
Abdulrasaq and a host of others.
