Bukola Saraki’s Defection is Prayer Answered – Sarah Jibril

Special Adviser to President Goodluck Jonathan on Ethics and Values, Mrs. Sarah Jibril, has accused governors
across the country of frustrating Jonathan’s efforts by not developing their states.
She said the Federal Government allocates money to the 36 state governors to develop their states monthly, but that
the resources are not being judiciously deployed to improve lives.
Speaking with newsmen in Ilorin, Kwara State, after addressing a Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) rally, Jibril, who
hails from Patigi in Kwara-North, said God answered the prayers of indigenes of the state with the defection of
Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed and his predecessor, Bukola Saraki to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
She said Jonathan’s re-election in 2015 would ensure the continuity of the work he has started in different sectors of
the economy.
Jibril said: “Anybody can hallucinate and imagine, but we have a situation whereby the president on the PDP platform
gives governors money every month regardless of political party.
“All these people who have defected, I thank God they’ve gathered themselves into the group of questionable
characters.
What have they done in their states before? How much of the internally generated revenue have they raised? Hasn’t
President Jonathan worked hard to ensure that people’s salaries are paid? Abuja cannot employ everybody; it is the
business of states and local governments. Have the local governments been allowed to do their jobs”.
