APC Kwara received a boost

The support base of All Progressives Congress (APC) got a major boost in Ilorin, Kwara State on Friday when
traditional chiefs in Ilorin Emirate declared their support for the party.
The traditional chiefs numbering about 600, cutting across five local government areas, declared their support for the
leadership of APC in the state.
The monarchs under the aegis of Alanguwas and Magajis Forum made the declaration during a courtesy visit to the
APC leader in the state, Dr Bukola Saraki.
They were led by the chairman of the forum, Alhaji Abdulwahab Alajagusi.
They said the visit was to publicly declare their support and acceptability of the party and political leadership in the
state.
The monarchs, who spoke through their vice chairman who is also the Magaji Nda of Ilorin, Alhaji Woru Mohammed,
said “We the Alaguwas and Magajis from Ilorin Emirate which comprises of five local government areas, namely,
Ilorin west, Ilorin East. Ilorin South, Asa and Moro under the leadership of His Royal Highness, Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji
Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari (CFR) wish to state publicly that we and our people have embraced APC as our party and we
have registered along with our people.”
In his response, Senator Bukola Saraki thanked the traditional rulers for their support and prayers at all time, noting
that this had been a source of strength in the struggle to take Nigeria to the next level.
