Kwara State University, Malete.

The Kwara State University, Malete, has announced the appointment of Mr. Surajudeen Oyedokun Oyebode as its
Registrar.
Oyebode succeeds Mrs Modupe Akinrinmade, who completed her tenure on January 31, 2014.
Born on the 28th of September 1958, the new Registrar hails from Sawo Olarenwaju Compound Offa, Kwara State.
He was until his appointment, the Deputy Registrar, Usmanu Danfodiyo University (UDU) Sokoto, where he rose
through the ranks.
Oyebode had his primary education at St Mark’s School Ilaro (1965), St Mark’s School Offa (1966-1967) and Baptist
Day School-Minna (1968-1971) before proceeding to Offa Grammar School Offa (1972-1976).
He also attended Zungeru College of Advanced Studies Bida (1976-1978) and gained admission to the Ahmadu Bello
University Zaria, where he obtained a degree in English Literature in June 1981.
Oyebode, who obtained a postgraduate diploma in Public Administration from the University of Benin in 1984–85, was
employed by UDU as an administrative assistant on July 19, 1982, rising to senior assistant registrar and principal
assistant registrar and deputy registrar on October 1, 1995 until his new appointment at KWASU. He is married and
blessed with children.
